HENRY WOLOCH

January 21, 1945 - July 31, 2018

On July 31, 2018, after a brief illness, Henry peacefully departed this world into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He poured out his life as a loving husband to his wife Millie and a devoted Dad to his three special sons; Ron & his wife Trudy (Winnipeg), Daryl & his wife Debbie (California) and Don &his wife Jo-Anne (New Brunswick). Besides raising three boys of his own he was also considered an "outstanding Grandpa" by his four grandchildren Benjamin, Daniel, Joshua, and Quinn who loved to be with him and who will miss him dearly.  It is rare to find a man that loves children with the devotion of time, care and loving-kindness to the extent that Henry did.  To his credit it will never be forgotten.  Oh... and he liked the food that kids like (and sharing it too), so that may have helped out his likability status with the youngsters!

Henry established Amber Distributors Inc. in 1984 as a family owned and operated Wholesale Building & Renovations Supplies Distributorship managing it for 19 years after which both he and his wife retired from the business in 2003.

Whether it was with his wife, his boys or his many friends, fishing and hunting was one of Henry's favorite pastimes in the younger years and he did it well. Known as "Hawkeye" by his closest friends Henry never missed a thing in the wild.  An explorer, a lover of nature and an interesting story teller Henry both wowed and inspired us by taking us on his adventures.  The memories he created in us taught us many things about life, love and the outdoors that we will cherish always.  As he got older Henry's passion for antiques grew and "collecting" with his wife became their new found passion.  They thoroughly enjoyed this adventure as they shared these times together never missing an opportunity for "sailing" as he called it.   He will be remembered by many as weekends became the time for meeting new people and finding hidden treasures at the numerous garage and estate sales they visited around the city and beyond.

Henry was a man that enjoyed life and loved most everyone.  A man with a kind heart and gentle smile that began at the dawn of every day. Whether you knew him for years or minutes you could see that Henry was honest and real and that he treated others with love and respect regardless of appearance or status.  Henry learned about Jesus later in life and he grew to love the things of God the more he both heard and read the Bible.  It was important to him to share these truths with others and he did so in a very humble way.  His prayers for others were not complicated or hard to understand but rather simple and strong. This love for God made him even more of a loving husband, kind father, special grandpa and good friend and neighbor.  This faith also carried him through his final struggle with illness and gave him such peace as he knew his time on earth was coming to an end. He was and is an inspiration to us.  These are just some of the reasons we loved him so.

Henry was predeceased by his Mom Phyllis and his Dad Chester. He is remembered by his sister Freda, nephew Larry & his wife Chris and their 4 children, his niece Sheila & her husband Eric and their four children.

Forever grateful to our friends Geri & Bill, thank you for all your help throughout these days and the years gone by.  You are special.

He will be forever loved by his wife Millie...

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN IN HEAVEN FOR ETERNITY, WE ALL LOVE YOU HENRY.

...YOUR LOVING FAMILY.
